Homebase is proud to announce the winner of the Employee of the Month
Shanna was nominated by Tiffany Timmerman.
My nomination for EOM is for Shanna Roark. Shanna has always been so willing to ask questions if she does not understand something so she ensures that she is “getting things right”. Shanna came to work for Home Base as a wraparound facilitator due to having personal experience with some of the trials that the families we serve face and through that Shanna is an effective advocate displaying through the empathy she has with youth and families. Shanna moved recently from Morgantown to Charleston and once she moved, had to absorb an entire caseload from a staff and Shanna immediately jumped in with the families ensuring a seamless transition for them and has worked tirelessly to ensure that all of the families needs are met.
Shanna is returning to us after recently bringing a new baby into the mix and has actively been ensuring on her time off that her families she serves have been well taken care of.
The other September nominees are listed below:
Angeline Reid, Clinical Counselor – Nominated by Dr. Linn Sheik
I am pleased to recommend Angeline Reid, Clinical Counselor, for Employee of the Month. Although Angeline has been with us for less than six months, she has already made a positive impression through her dedication, willingness to learn, and genuine commitment to the families she serves.
From the beginning, Angeline has jumped right in and embraced her role. She has demonstrated a strong desire to do well and provide quality support to each family. She is consistently open to recommendations, new ideas, training, and guidance, and she takes feedback as an opportunity to grow professionally.
One of Angeline’s greatest strengths is that she is not afraid to ask questions. She understands that asking questions is part of becoming a stronger counselor and uses those opportunities to improve her knowledge and skills. Her eagerness to learn, combined with her willingness to apply what she learns, demonstrates a level of professionalism and dedication that is impressive for someone so new to the organization.
Angeline has shown that she genuinely cares about doing what is best for the families she works with. She approaches her responsibilities with enthusiasm, humility, and a willingness to continue developing as a clinician. Her attitude and work ethic have allowed her to quickly become a valuable member of the team.
For these reasons, I believe Angeline Reid is very deserving of Employee of the Month recognition. Her initiative, teachability, positive attitude, and commitment to our families make her an excellent example of the kind of employee we want to recognize and encourage.
Eli Cutlip, Outreach Coordinator – Nominated by Nicole Lipscomb
I would like to nominate Eli Cutlip for Employee of the Month. Eli consistently stands out as a strong, dependable, and highly effective paraprofessional. Eli’s documentation is impeccable. He accurately reflects the progress of each case and consistently provides clear, thorough, and timely records that demonstrate his ability to deliver services with integrity and precision.
When preparing for his leave, Eli ensured that all of his cases were appropriately covered with minimal assistance from his supervisor. He completed all coverage forms accurately and thoroughly, providing his teammates with the information they needed to seamlessly support his caseload during his absence.
Eli is thoughtful and considerate of the needs of both his teammates and the families he serves. He communicates openly and paints a clear, honest picture of what is occurring in each of his cases, whether the circumstances are positive or challenging. His communication with his supervisor, the administrative team, and DoHS workers is consistently professional, timely, and effective.
Even when Eli encounters challenges, he maintains a positive attitude, remains understanding, and focuses on finding solutions rather than dwelling on obstacles. His adaptability and willingness to move forward shows his ability to remain professional while having pride in his position as a paraprofessional.
