Our Story

Home Base was founded on a simple belief: strong families create strong communities.

Since 1999, we've worked alongside children, parents, caregivers, and community partners throughout West Virginia to provide services that strengthen relationships, support emotional wellbeing, and help families navigate life's challenges.

What began as a commitment to serving local families has grown into a statewide organization with programs that reach communities across the Mountain State. While our services have expanded over the years, our purpose has remained the same—to meet people where they are, provide meaningful support, and help families build lasting success.

Today, Home Base continues to deliver innovative, family-focused services that empower children and strengthen communities throughout West Virginia.
