Job Title: Site Clinician

Reports to: Program Director

Qualifications: Minimum of Master’s Degree in counseling or psychology from an accredited college or university; must able to pass a criminal background check through WVCARES and an Adult and Child Protectives Services Record Check; Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and families; must be able to meet deadlines; time management skills are essential; must have a valid drivers license and insurance; 

Purpose: The Site Clinician will provide the therapeutic component of client service plans.  The Site Clinician acts as the local authority on the provision of therapeutic services to the clients in residence.  The Site Clinician can make decisions regarding therapeutic components and treatment modalities of a client’s treatment plan.  The Site Clinician is the guide for the provision of therapeutic services to the client.


Develop and write treatment plans for all clients residing in assigned homes
Coordinate treatment team meetings
Supervise implementation of therapeutic activities
Provide group and individual counseling to clients
Coordinate and provide family counseling to clients
Document all therapeutic services to clients
Provide assessments of clients upon intake and throughout their treatment in the facility
Monitor/Track service provision to ensure resident is getting prescribed intensity and frequency of treatment services.
Develops ensures implementation of Behavioral Management Services to address specific client target behaviors.
Supervise Residential Counselors in the implementation of therapeutic activities
Write  progress notes  in the “Data, Assessment, Plan” format for all assigned clients
Provide 24 hour on-call coverage
Ensure all clinical files and treatment plans are maintained according to regulations
Act as primary liaison with families and clinical professionals involved with the client
Review and report on all clinical information from referent
Participate in screening, pre-placement interviews and placement of new clients
Provide in-service training for Residential employees in chosen, relevant topics
Maintain active oversight reviews of clinical resources including the compilation of clinical resources and the development of a local treatment resource library
Assist referents with understanding of treatment program of the assigned group home
Prepare written monthly reports of treatment progress of client for referent, treatment team members and courts
Design aftercare plan in cooperation with treatment team
Assist with Residential Counselors work plan development
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Program Director or Executive Director
