Home Base Inc. is a residential treatment facility for children. We currently have two locations in central West Virgina. The first is located in Upshur County and the second is located in Lewis County, West Virginia. The program at Home Base facilities emphasizes treatment on the home turf of our teenage boys. We understand the struggles and acknowledge the reality in which their problems must be overcome. Treatment at Home Base is steeped in real life time and place. Building resilience and gaining stability at Home Base is healing at home. Clinical treatment at Home Base facilities are supervised by professionals dedicated to a career in adolescent psychology. Individualized treatment programs combined with progressive and innovative therapies, including Reality Therapy, and Rational Emotive Therapy make the resident's experience at Home Base one which leaves an indelible impression on the child and facilitates an encouraging time of growth. Referrals should be made for any male 12-17 years old who carries a current DSM-IV diagnosis, and is exhibiting mild to moderate behavioral and/or emotional impairment. The Child should be referred with the recommendation of the MDT and not pose imminent risk of harm to others or himself. Home Base Group Homes specialize in the facilitation of permanency planning. Our track record is showing high levels of success in reunification with primary support groups or biological families, independent living, and other discharge planning.
